BHS Certificate in Horse Knowledge and Care - Stage 3

Course Content
This twenty week course will provide participants with the competencies and ability to look after up to four horses in stables and at grass in an unsupervised environment, ensuring that horses, stables, yard and fields are safe and in good order. BHS Stages 1 & 2 and Riding & Road Safety are a pre-requisite for this BHS examination.
At present we do not hold a Stage 3 examination at Writtle College.
We have a strict weight limit of 13 stone; unfortunately anyone exceeding this weight will be unable to participate in riding sessions.

Additional information
Please come appropriately dressed for an equine yard. Participants are required to attend all riding sessions dressed in appropriate outdoor riding wear, an approved riding hat and gloves.
A body protector is strongly recommended for any jumping.
