A new scholarship programme at Writtle College for 2012
Academic Achievement Bursaries

All new Writtle College undergraduate students enrolling on a full-time BSc or BA programme who have achieved AAB grades at A level or equivalent (e.g. triple distinction at National Diploma) will automatically be eligible to receive this bursary.

The bursary is worth £2500 in total. The first year is payable as a £1500 waiver from College accommodation costs and the second year is payable as a cash bursary. Students selecting Writtle College as their firm choice via UCAS and achieving at least AAB at A-level or equivalent will be entitled to the bursary.

Terms and conditions
  • The bursary is available to all new full-time UK and EU students
  • The award of a bursary can only be made to applicants accepting an offer from Writtle College as their Conditional Firm (CF) or Unconditional Firm (UF) choice.
  • A-level General Studies is not included in the AAB Bursary terms.
  • Students must maintain a 2:1 (60%) average across their first year modules to receive the second bursary instalment.
  • Only one Writtle College scholarship or bursary can be held at one time, including those provided by the Writtle College National Scholarship Programme (NSP).
  • Any applicant who declines a place in College accommodation for the first year is not entitled to a cash bursary as an alternative.
  • The bursary cannot be deferred, i.e. the full-time programme must commence in autumn 2012.
  • We endeavour to ensure that our published information is correct. However, Writtle College accepts no legal liability for errors or omissions and reserves the right to make changes without notice.
