Writtle College is located in the heart of the historic village of Writtle, just two miles from the county town of Chelmsford. Set within a 220 hectare estate with beautiful landscaped gardens the area within the grounds of Writtle College, known as King John's Palace marks one of the village's most noteworthy historic Sites.

The College welcomes residential stays from groups throughout the summer months and is the ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Local facilities for your social programme are excellent, and the college is close to the historic towns of Colchester and Cambridge as well as the scenic countryside vistas made famous by painter John Constable.

The College offers comfortable en-suite accommodation rooms, many offering views across the fields to the reservoir and all with internet access. Common rooms are located in each accommodation block and are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. Guests can take advantage of the onsite bar and sports facilities along with free parking, including coach parking.
