Equine Courses

Study Levels

Student with Horses

Equine courses at Writtle College are delivered by friendly and approachable teaching staff who are highly regarded within the industry, with several members of the team involved in research and consultancy for key organisations such as the British Equestrian Federation and the British Horse Society. Key figures from such organisations regularly contribute to lecture programmes and events.

Resources which support teaching and learning on our Equine courses include; one indoor and two outdoor arenas, a jumping paddock and cross country course, student DIY Livery yard, the Lordships Stud which provides excellent facilities for student training and the production of quality competition horses, and the Lordships Science Centre which offers specialist laboratories and state-of-the-art technology.

Due to very high demand the college DIY Yard is full for the 2010- 2011 intake. We are operating a waiting list so if you would like to go on the waiting list please send in your livery request form without your deposit. You will be contacted as soon as a place becomes available. There is a list of local livery stables with the DIY Livery information, which may have spaces available.

BHS Courses

The College also runs a number of BHS courses, or click on "Post-GCSE & Training Courses" for a complete list of Further Education equine courses.
